An Afternoon Walk
Yesterday was so glorious and I was having a Tech-Free day so what better opportunity than to go and explore a new wood.
I set off mid-afternoon time with the intention of doing 20 seconds Sun Gazing in the last hour before Sunset.
Basking In The Sun
I headed off across the fields and much to my surprise I was alone on this busy footpath on a wonderful Sunday afternoon like this. So being alone in the middle of field with bare soil beneath my bare feet and surrounded by Nature, I took the opportunity to bathe in the Sun for a few minutes, to just let my body soak up some of the Sun’s energy.
Receiving
So I stopped, faced the Sun, closed my eyes and just felt the Sun’s rays bathing me. After a couple of seconds I could feel the Sun’s energy washing over me wave after wave after wave in rapid secession, like hoops of energy passing down and around my body. This continued until a cloud blocked out the Sun, at which point I continued the short distance remaining to the wood.
It wasn’t until some 30 minutes later after another experience of Sunbathing that I realised what I had just experienced was the Sun giving me some of its energy and me receiving it. I did feel remarkably energised afterwards.
Giving
Once at the wood, I explored this new wood, a very welcoming and friendly wood with lots of nooks and grannies and a river running along one side of it. As I made my way towards the river I found a spot of bare soil on the bank with direct Sun light streaming through the trees. So I squatted down, turned my face up to the Sun, closed my eyes and once more basked in the Sun’s energy.
This time however I got a totally different sensation, this time a got the feeling that a vortex was coming from me and going to the Sun, this time the movement of the vortex was away from me and heading towards the Sun.
This only lasted about 10 seconds, when it stopped I got up and resumed the exploration of the wood. It occurred to me that the first experience could have been me receiving energy from the Sun and the second could have been me giving energy to the Sun. I didn’t feel like I had given up any energy, I still felt full of life and totally energised.
Sun Gazing
By the time I finished exploring the woods the Sun had reached its final hour in the sky, so I headed out of the woods and back across the field, the path was still deserted and I was still alone. In the middle of the field, around about the same place that I had sunbathed early, I stopped to Sun Gaze for the count of 20.
The first thing that I noticed was how intense the light was, but this only lasted a couple of counts, then the Sun became a distinct glowing orb, floating in the sky. By the count of 15 the Sun, this glowing orb, started to radiate out coloured patterns, purples and greens, these rays or patterns that emanated from the Sun made it look not unlike a giant glowing mandala, a picture of perfection. At the count of 20 I closed my eyes and gave myself a few seconds to adjust. When I opened my eyes the colours and visions were what can only be described as amazing! The most beautiful I had ever seen. The colours were bright and vivid and everything was sharp and flowed.
Interestingly there was no feeling of being energised; I was left with a feeling of oneness, a true feeling of being a part of that which surrounded me. I was left in wonder with everything that I perceived and felt being the most beautiful I had ever experienced.
This feeling only lasted about 2 minutes but while it lasted it was amazing. I was and still am so grateful that I was alone in the middle of nowhere surrounded by Nature with chance to experience this.
